Cloud Transition

The journey into the Cloud.

Intro
Due to a carve out, the customer had move the server infrastructure out of the parent company's Data Centers. A strategic decision has been made, to migrate the server infrastructure to a Cloud Service Provider.

Case Study
Using four Global Data Centers and several local server rooms, the infrastructure landscape was very difficult to manage. In a first step all servers have been consolidated into two regional Cloud Data Centers, which are centrally managed by one service provider.

The second steps is the optimization of the application landscape, in order to gain the benefit of Cloud Services.
